Appeal launched after two teenagers robbed at McDonald's

Police have launched an appeal after two teenagers were robbed at a branch of McDonald's in Southampton on the afternoon of 17 October.

Officers from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary have asked witnesses or anyone with information on the incident to come forward.

Two teenagers were approached by an unknown person who allegedly threatened them with an offensive weapon before demanding that they hand over their mobile phones.

The victims complied with the request.

The teenage boy who made the demands left the scene towards the direction of High Road.

He has been described as being of Asian heritage, around 15 to 16 years old, approximately 5ft 10ins tall and of skinny build.

He was seen to be wearing a black puffer jacket, black trousers, black Nike trainers and a black balaclava in a group of six other teenage boys wearing similarly dark clothing.

Officers have carried out initial enquiries, including finding relevant CCTV footage, and are now asking anyone who was present at the time of the offence to come forward.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call 101, quoting crime reference number 44230425745.
