Jean-François Piège's Mimosa to open London outpost in the Langham hotel

Jean-François Piège's Mimosa will open a London outpost in the capital's Langham London hotel.

The restaurant will launch in 2024 and will be the first international outpost of the French Riviera restaurant and bring "a sense of the nature, pleasure and sun of the Mediterranean to diners".

Stefan Soennichsen, managing director of the Langham London, said: "With Mimosa London, we have the opportunity to work with one of France's greatest restaurants, to bring the spirit of the Riviera to our central London hotel, and we can't wait to introduce both hotel guests and diners from across London to the restaurant."

The Langham London will work with Moma Group to bring the restaurant to London.

Benjamin Patou, founder and chief executive of Moma Group, added: "I am very happy to be opening a restaurant in the Langham. I have always loved the hotel and look forward to bringing our finest Riviera cuisine to London with my local partners Khaled Dandachi and Fred Srouchi."

Chef Jean-François Piège of two-Michelin-starred Paris restaurant Le Grand Restaurant, will develop menus for the outpost, which will occupy the space previously home to Michel Roux's Roux at the Landau.

Roux will continue to oversee other F&B outlets at the Langham London, including the Wigmore, Palm Court, Artesian and Sauce by the Langham.

Palm Court is currently hosting a Dom Taylor's Good Front Room, launched after the chef won Channel 4's Five Star Kitchen: Britain's Next Great Chef.
