Paulo de Tarso joins LSL Capital as head of hospitality

Paulo De Tarso has joined the restaurant group behind Michelin-starred Jamavar as head of hospitality.

LSL Capital was founded by father and daughter team Dinesh and Samyukta Nair and runs a portfolio of Mayfair-based sites including Bombay Bustle, MiMi Mei Fair, Koyn and Socca, which it launched this year in partnership with chef Claude Bosi.

De Tarso will start his role at Koyn, the izakaya-style Japanese restaurant on Grosvenor Street, before working across the wider portfolio.

The maitre d' spent three years working at Scotts Mayfair before opening Bar Boulud with Daniel Boulud at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park. In 2016, he launched the Margot restaurant in Covent Garden but stepped away from the project in 2020.

Samyukta said: "I've seen Paulo's work over the years and am delighted for him to join LSL Capital. His dedication to the industry and passion for hospitality is incredible, and I'm excited to work together and build a community we are going to be proud of."

De Tarso said: "LSL Capital is a fantastic business and embodies much of my own ethos when it comes to hospitality.

"The restaurants are conceptual and offer guests a unique experience, which is something I hope to build on through joining Samyukta and her team."
