2020 Corporate Receptionist of the Year finalists announced

The 10 finalists competing for the 2020 Corporate Receptionist of the Year (CROTY) award have been announced to mark International Receptionists' Day, taking place today.

They are:

  • Amy Cox, Portico
  • Laura Egerbacher, Lexington Reception
  • Radwan El Alami, Portico
  • Elias Fonseca, Sodexo
  • Reiss Gordon-Henry, Rapport
  • Marija Kamcheva, Lazard
  • Maria Isabel Lozano Nogales, CIS Front of House
  • Diana Riabiene, ISS
  • James Williams, ISS
  • Karina Zseleznik, Rapport

"It was great to see entries from so many different organisations this year and I know the expert judges had a very tough job to select the final 10," said Greg Mace, who launched CROTY in 2019.

"Congratulations to all of them. They are outstanding role models and highlight the importance of brilliant receptionists in the corporate world."

Mace said the CROTY finalists were being announced on International Receptionists' Day to encourage businesses to spare a thought for the role receptionists play in the success of their organisation.

International Receptionists' Day first took place in 2012 and aims to celebrate the importance of receptionists and promote pride in the role as a career.

"Our receptionists are our guests' first point of contact with our clients' organisations and we appreciate how hard they work to ensure that they make a brilliant first impression," said Mace.

"Supporting International Receptionists' Day is an opportunity for us to celebrate the great work they do and to raise their profile within our operations. We hope that every single receptionist who takes part will feel proud about the important job they do."

The CROTY shortlist was agreed by a panel of judges from the Dorchester Collection, The Caterer, JLL, Ballymore, CBRE, ISS, Portico and Rapport, as well as sponsors Condeco, Admiral Recruitment, Moneypenny and VPOD.

The 10 candidates will compete in a final comprising an interview, role play and presentation later in the year, with the winner receiving a trip to New York, dinner at a Michelin-starred restaurant and place on a two-day leadership development programme.

The inaugural CROTY award winner in 2019 was Kitija Lace from Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
