The Admirable Crichton wins £3m Westminster Boating Base contract

The Admirable Crichton has taken over the contract at the Westminster Boating Base in London, providing catering services for the charity's venue hire business.

It has been appointed as caterer for the charity, which teaches dinghy sailing, powerboating, kayaking and canoeing in central London to young people and adults. The three-year contract is worth £1m turnover per year.

Located at Pimlico Garden along the River Thames, the Westminster Boating Base hires out its headquarters for events including weddings and corporate events, which is one of the main ways the charity generates revenue. The Admirable Crichton will exclusively manage the sales, event planning and design for the events, taking over from previous contract holder Retro Catering.

Rod Craig, director of Westminster Boating Base, said: "I am absolutely delighted with the engagement of the Admirable Crichton as the Westminster Boating Base's new events company, and very much look forward to resuming all our water sports activities which events so importantly help support."

Ruth Lawton-Owen, MD of the Admirable Crichton, added: "We are thrilled to have been appointed as sole caterers to this unique venue that offers the perfect location for such a wide range of events. We look forward to creating some signature AC design parties at the Boating Base as well as a host of weddings, corporate events and product launches."
