Albert Roux attends £180m Sofitel London Heathrow launch

Albert Roux, the legendary chef, was at the launch of the £180m Sofitel London Heathrow hotel at Terminal 5 yesterday.

Roux, who with his brother Michel received the one off Silver Catey earlier this month, had his first glimpse of the new Brasserie Roux, the 100-seat restaurant that opens at the new property in September.

Brasserie Roux is a partnership between Compass Group's Restaurant Associates and Arora International Hotels, which is running the Sofitel under a franchise agreement with Accor.

The hotel, the only one within the Terminal 5 complex, has 605-bedrooms with interiors designed by Khuan Chew, whose credits include Dubai's Burj al Arab.
