All Star Leisure to open more tenpin bowling venues in London

Retro tenpin bowling operator, All Star Leisure is to invest £5m to open two new venues in London.

The second All Star Lanes site, complete with all-American diner, will be in the Whiteley's shopping centre in Bayswater and is due to open in May.

The third, which is currently in the advanced stages of negotiations, will be in the Truman Brewery on Brick Lane in east London and it is hoped will open in October.

Mark von Westenholz, co-managing director of the group said: "We feel the time is right to roll out the brand. We have been extremely selective in choosing these sites, both will attract a balanced mix of local residents and corporate clients."

Both sites will be on a larger scale than the existing Bloomsbury site. The group plans to open further sites in Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow and Edinburgh from 2008.
