Daylesford's Carole Bamford takes on second pub

Daylesford founder Carole Bamford has taken on a second pub with rooms, the Fox at Oddington in Gloucestershire, which is set to relaunch in early 2022.

Bamford acquired the property from Ian MacKenzie. It joins her other pub, the Wild Rabbit in Kingham, Oxfordshire.

When it reopens, the pub will house eight bedrooms. The Coach House, located opposite the pub, will offer a self-catering alternative ideal for larger families or parties of friends.

The traditional inn will serve a menu of classic pub dishes, such as burgers, fish and chips and Sunday roasts, made with local organic ingredients. The pub will seat up to 90 covers inside, and a terrace will accommodate a further 40 people.

Lady Bamford founded Daylesford Farm more than 40 years ago, which now features a farmshop, the Bamford Wellness Spa and three restaurants: the Old Spot, the Trough Café and the Legbar; as well as a cookery school.
