Eat closes for good after 24 years

Eat has announced that it is to close in the UK after 24 years in business.

Pret A Manger acquired Eat's 94 UK sites in May 2019. Some have been converted into Pret and Veggie Pret outlets.

Niall and Faith MacArthur launched the grab-and-go sandwich chain in 1996 in London and the brand grew to more than 100 branches in the UK, mostly in London.

Eat will continue to operate in Paris Gare Du Nord (under franchise with SSP) and Spain (under franchise with Ibersol).
