Four-star hotel to open at London Biggin Hill Airport next year

A new four-star hotel at London Biggin Hill Airport has been ‘topped out' with work now moving inside the building to progress the internal fit out of the 56-bedroom property.

The Landing, situated at the end of the runway, will have views over the airport from its lounge, bar and restaurant, named the Approach, located on the first floor. The hotel is due to open in January 2023.

General manager Steven Thorne-Farrar (pictured left) said: "The Landing hotel is nearing completion and our thanks go to the excellent construction team, Barnes Construction, Powell Dobson, Russell Doughty, and Superstructures, for delivering such a beautiful building. We can now move on to the next phase of fitting out the hotel, working with local suppliers and interior designers to bring our vision to life."

Bob Steward (pictured right), joint managing director of Barnes Construction, added: "We are pleased with the way construction is progressing, and now the roof insulation and membrane are complete making the building watertight, work can start in earnest on the internal aspects. It also means we can move on to install the roof plant for building services, which includes PV panels."
