InterContinental Park Lane creates new suites to satisfy increased demand

Responding to demand for suite style rooms in the capital, the InterContinental Park Lane has undertaken a multimillion-pound refurbishment of two floors to add to its high-spec stock.

The Mayfair Collection of guestrooms will be completed in Spring 2020, taking the London hotel's total number of suites to 71.

As well as suites, the refurbishment includes a collection of new guestrooms that feature natural tones and modern artwork, taking inspiration from the views overlooking Hyde Park.

Details include a carpet design inspired by the veins of leaves, bedside tables with handles in the shape of leaves, and a metallic resin sculpture representing a tree trunk developed for the bathroom mirror.

The new designs have been created by RPW Design.

Prices for the guestrooms start at £350, while the Mayfair suites start at £1,000.
