Jo Fleet joins Hawksmoor to oversee 'At Home' offer

Former Flat Iron managing director Jo Fleet has joined Hawksmoor to oversee the development of its Hawksmoor at Home meal kits and growing retail range.

The steak restaurant group launched its home-delivery service last July and now sends out thousands of boxes per week.

A new e-commerce platform has been built to showcase its expanding selection of meal kits, cocktails, and gift options.

Fleet, who is also a former managing director at Wahaca, will oversee nationwide distribution of the kits, a retail range which launched on Ocado in February, and restaurant delivery in London.

Will Beckett, Hawksmoor co-founder and chief executive, said: "Hawksmoor at Home has been the silver lining of this pandemic – a chance for us to do what we love and bring a bit of Hawksmoor char and cheer into people's lives – and we want to give it every chance of succeeding once restaurant restrictions are lifted, so that people who cannot come to Hawksmoor, for whatever reason, can still enjoy an amazing steak night in.

"We're thrilled that Jo has joined to take on the project – we've known her for many years and always admired her work rate, intelligence and dedication to people and product."

Hawksmoor was founded in 2006 and has grown to six London restaurants and one each in Edinburgh and Manchester.

It was due to open its first New York restaurant last year but delayed the launch due to the pandemic.
