Nyx hotel planned for Liverpool

06 February 2020 by

Fattal Hotel Group has confirmed plans to open a hotel under its Nyx brand in Liverpool city centre with approximately 200 bedrooms.

Documents lodged with Liverpool City Council reveal the intention to transform the city's Gostins Building as well as add a four-story extension including a rooftop terrace. The property was previously an office block with ground floor retail space. The plans are yet to receive planning permission.

Eight Nyx hotels operate in Europe, with three in the pipeline in the UK: in London following the relaunch of the 201-bedroom Grange Holborn in May; a £33m new build 261-bedroom Nyx in Birmingham; and the conversion of a listed building adjacent to the Edinburgh Jurys Inn into a 131-bedroom hotel.

Fattal operates more than 200 hotels, including 53 under Jurys Inn & Leonardo Hotels UK and Ireland.
