Gogglebox stars' Salutation hotel and gardens expected to enter liquidation on Monday

The Grade I-listed Salutation hotel and gardens in Sandwich, Kent - which is owned by Gogglebox stars Steph and Dom Parker - is expected to enter liquidation on Monday.

Augusta Kent insolvency practitioners has been instructed to place the business, which was being run by a John Fothergill before its closure last month, into a creditors' voluntary liquidation.

Augusta Kent said: "We want to ensure that all creditors of the company are contacted by us so that we can advise them of the process and next steps."

The 17-bedroom hotel, which was designed and built by Sir Edwin Lutyens - who designed the Midland Bank building in London, which is now the Ned hotel - incorporated a restaurant which had been run by head chef Shane Hughes. The property was also awarded Romantic Hotel in the 2019 Good Hotel Guide.

The insolvency practitioners have told anyone with membership to the gardens or gift vouchers to be redeemed at the businesses to contact creditors@augustakent.co.uk with their full name, home address and details of the purchase.

Any other creditors who have not been contacted should make contact via the same email address.

The Caterer understands that the Parkers have had no involvement in the business since 2017.
