Simon Wong has been appointed general manager of Edwardian Hotels London's (EHL) the Londoner hotel, the 350-bedroom "super boutique" hotel set to open on Leicester Square in June.

Since November 2018, in preparation for the Londoner, Wong has been leading and supporting the management team of EHL's May Fair hotel. Prior to this, he was the general manager of the group's Radisson Blu Edwardian Heathrow hotel.

Wong's appointment is one of a raft of senior appointments at the hotel, which also include: Hannah Millar-Case to director of sales; Jason Kitt to director of meeting and events sales; and Justine Perry as recruitment manager.

Millar-Case has been a North American sales representative for EHL for the last seven years; while Kitt has 15 years in group events and sales at London hotels including the Savoy, the Jumeirah Carlton Tower and the Jumeirah Lowndes hotel. Perry, meanwhile, has run her own hospitality recruitment business, JAP Associates Hospitality Recruitment Specialists, for the last 10 years.

Charles Oak, hotel director of the Londoner, said: "We are thrilled to welcome on board this incredibly diverse team of talented professionals who will elevate the execution of our strategy… I look forward to building on the 40-year-strong foundation of Edwardian Hotels London alongside these accomplished individuals as we propel the Londoner forward through its opening and beyond."
