An urgent plea from Springboard's CEO, Anne Pierce

We are all seeing and feeling the devastating impact that COVID-19 is having on people's everyday lives and the economy. The hospitality industry and our people have been one of the worst hit by the social distancing measures put in place.

Springboard is geared up to be at the front line of the recovery process and help our workforce to not just recover, but thrive.

I am now asking for your urgent help for us to continue providing crucial support services to 1,212 people from disadvantaged backgrounds. These are people who should have already entered a fulfilling career within hospitality and transformed their lives, having worked hard to graduate from one of our pioneering and award-winning employability programmes.

These people are now struggling to cope without an income and are relying on us, more than ever before, to keep them engaged and motivated.

In response to this crisis and to allow people to stay at home and stay healthy, we have made over 40 of our knowledge, skills and training modules available online. These modules have been specifically designed to support and motivate the trainees at this incredibly challenging time, and include introductory training for qualifications, practical skills and techniques, CV writing, interview skills, resilience, confidence and mindfulness.

Our expert team are also innovating by using a variety of online tools to make themselves available through our social channels, phonelines and email to still give 1-2-1 support and advice when needed.

When we emerge from this crisis, these people will be ready and better able to secure employment, and when the social distancing restrictions are lifted, Springboard will be vital to help the industry rebuild and heal.

RIGHT NOW, we need YOU to help.

Please donate to help keep Springboard and our services going at www.paypal.me/springboarduk

Springboard lost its main sources of income overnight and now depends on donations to ensure that it can continue to support people now and in the future.

Thank you in advance for donating and making a difference to others.
