GV Group chief executive listed among most influential black people in UK

Tevin Tobun the founder and chief executive of the GV Group, which offers logistics services to the foodservice sector, has been featured in a list of the 100 most influential black Britons in the UK.

Tobun features in the Powerlist alongside footballer Raheem Sterling, grime artist Stormzy and the Duchess of Sussex.

The list was first published in 2007 and aims to provide professional role models for young people of African and African Caribbean heritage.

Tobun said: "The list is a fantastic way to inspire young people to push on and succeed in their lives. I'm a firm believer that young people need role models and mentors to enable them to fulfil their aspirations, and this list is a great way to showcase some of the brilliant work so many people do from across different sectors. It's a real honour to be amongst some incredibly inspiring people."

The chief executive, who has established a scholarship to support individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds through university, is included in the list, which is distributed to schools, universities and corporations for the second year in a row.

The GV Group works across the commercial and public sectors to deliver food and food-related supplies to restaurants, cafés, hotel groups, as well as schools and healthcare establishments.
