Andrew Turner to join Langham Hotel in London

Andrew Turner, executive chef at Pennyhill Park in Bagshot, Surrey, is to join the Langham Hotel in London, Caterer can reveal.

Turner is expected to leave Pennyhill on 26 July after 18 months, before joining the Langham on 13 August. He will be taking on a new role as head chef of a stand alone restaurant called the Landau, which will open mid-to-late September.

The new restaurant is currently being redesigned by David Collins, who was also responsible for the design of the hotel's Artesian cocktail bar, which opened in January.

A spokeswoman for the Langham said: "The restaurant will have its own on-street entrance making Artesian and the restaurant destinations in their own right."

Turner will be heading up his own brigade in a dedicated kitchen at the hotel. The Landau will seat 100 and offer breakfast, lunch and dinner, seven days a week. It is understood that the menu will incorporate Turner's trademark tasting menus.

Prior to joining Pennyhill Park, the Albert Roux protege was executive chef of the Bentley and before that Brown's hotel.
